Ever see a dining chair at a discount home store that's well built, great shape, comfortable but just a little.... boring? Follow this easy step by step guide to transforming those chairs into the most stylish dining room ever!
To get started, choose a chair that has nice lines and feels sturdy. Most chairs will come ready to assemble. Then comes the fun part -- choose an enamel oil-based paint color. Most paint stores for a small fee (roughly $10 per can) will put the custom color into spray cans for you. You will need one can of spray paint per chair. One quart of paint will fill approximately 8 spray cans. You will also need a fine grit sandpaper for light sanding before you paint and of course, your fabric. We found a stack of brightly colored vintage tea towels to use for ours. You can use any fabric as long as it's relatively durable. Cut the fabric to the seat size leaving adequate excess fabric for stretching over the edges and stapling into the bottom of the seat.
It's that easy just click on the picture above and follow the step by step instructions below and you are on your way!
